As a community-owned mutual aid organization, we work closely with trusted partners who share our commitment to dignity, transparency, and respect for our Cameroonian heritage.

Why this matter

WE ARE COMMUNITY

For years, when someone died, the family had to beg publicly. We've all seen it:

  • WhatsApp groups created overnight.

  • Voice notes asking for money.

  • Arguments about "who paid and who didn't."

  • Pressure on relatives who are already grieving.

Sometimes the person cannot be sent home to Cameroon because there is simply not enough money. For our community, this is painful. It's also not dignified. Final Journey Home Netherlands exists to end that situation. No more last-minute panic. No more shame.

Final Journey Home is a Cameroonian solidarity association in the Netherlands. We exist so that when one of us passes away, the family is not left alone with shock, cost, and public embarrassment. We organize ourselves in advance, as a community, so support is ready when it is needed most. This is not insurance. This is us taking care of our own.

This only works if we all participate. If you are Cameroonian and living in the Netherlands:

  • Register now.

  • Stay active.

  • Stand with the community.

Don't wait until there is a crisis. Join while you are healthy, for your own family's dignity.

Who we are

Final Journey Home Netherlands isn't an organization that helps the Cameroonian community – we ARE the Cameroonian community, organized. Member-owned. Member-controlled. Built on solidarity, not charity. When you join us, you're not asking for help. You're joining a network where we all contribute, we all participate, and we all benefit equally. This is mutual aid in action. This is community taking care of community. This is us, together.

Your Role

Community supporting community. Dignity for every final journey.
